I might be one of the least likely MCs on the planet but I certainly pushed my public speaking skills to the limit and beyond on this incredible stories in light regional art tour throughout August. Support the live impromptu Story based projection mapping on to important regional landmarks around the state, we were followed by grey nomads and found new audiences from one side of SA to the other.
Presented during the 2019 SALA the South Australian Living Artists Festival, the tour invited all to “enjoy your arts and heritage, rug up and enjoy a special winter event: TRAVELLING LIGHT will be coming to a town near you.”
The most important aspect of Travelling Light were the participating artists and creative people in the communities, who had been involved in training and developing stories to turn into the projection over the last few years, as part of the Port to Port project. The stories were collected into a massive compilation that was curated into an hour long show unique to each town and its selected landmark.
